Performance | Dolphin Stars

Dolphin Stars is the LMYA program to recognize each swimmer as they improve their times, week-to-week, meet-to-meet. LMYA has establishes 4-tiered “goal times” for each stroke.  The first level is White, then Red, then Blue, then Gold.

As the goal time is achieve the swimmer is awarded an  embroidered star of that color. We recommend swimmers proudly display their Dolphin Stars on towels, sweats, swim bags. You earned the recognition; show it off!

Each time a swimmer achieves a new “goal time” level in each stroke, he/she is awarded the appropriate star. One star per level per stroke is awarded the first time they reach that level.

A time with in the blue or gold level is considered an "A" time.  A gold time is the level required to compete in the County Championship at the end of the season.
A gold LMYA swim cap is also awarded to each individual County qualifier.
