About LMYA Dolphins
A Dominate Recreational Swim Team Since 1958
The LMYA Dolphins presented the first opportunity for East Bay swimmers to explore their athletic skills in an aquatic world. Founded by Lafayette parents Don Nesbit, Dick Dobbins and Fran High, the Dolphins established the foundation for the Contra Costa Swim League. Current record show that we initiated practice in summer 1958 or 59 at an Acalanes High School pool. While Acalanes High School opened in 1941, a recreational team formed eighteen years later. And the Dolphins have never looked back.

LMYA Dolphins represent the core swimmers of the Lafayette, Moraga area. Team membership is reasonable, with excellent clinics and meet spirit.
