The swim season is now in full swing. You will be receiving lots of emails and be sure to check the web-site daily for important information & updates.

Topic | Coaches Lunches

Please sign up today for Coaches Lunches. It is an LMYA tradition for the families to provide the coaches with lunch on the days we have evening meets. The Felt family provided a great lunch on 6/18. We have evening meets coming up on 6/25, 7/2, 7/23 & 8/6. We generally feed 6 coaches. Sign-ups sheets will be at the pool, or you can email Heidi Felt at HFelt@Moraga.k12.ca.us to join the fun. Each week we need a main dish, drinks & dessert, plus salad or fruit. Several families can share a day! Shelley Smith has signed up for 6/25 – want to join her? Please sign up now.

Topic | POP TIME STAMPS

Show off your success. This Wednesday between 9:30am and 12 noon you can get your team t-shirt stamped for each Pop-Time you have so far this season. Meet Mrs. Davis pool-side this Wed. 6/25 and she will stamp your shirt and give you a treat!

Topic | Fri. 6/28 Practice Canceled – Go to the Movies

Coach Jeff would like the swimmers to take a day of rest on Friday, June 28th before the big 2-day Battle of the Ages Meet. To share some team spirit you are invited to join us at the movies. Movie details will be sent in a separate email later this week.

Topic | City Meet Spirit Activities

City Meet Week is a time of Team Spirit and camaraderie. We have lots of activities planned. Our Parent Spirit Coordinator is Heidi Felt HFelt@Moraga.k12.ca.us she will have lots of sign-up sheets at the pool this week or email her to help out!

Pancake Breakfast – Tues. July 8th from 9:30am -12noon poolside. We need food donations (pancake batter, bacon, fresh fruit, juice, & milk), griddles and helpers.

Secret Psycher – Mon. 7/7 – Sun. 7/13. This is like having a Secret Pal. If you sign up you will give and receive small secret gifts to help your secret pal get psyched for City Meet.

8 & Under Tuck-ins – Fri. July 11th from 6-9pm. As a special surprise for our younger swimmers the coaches make the rounds to your home to “tuck-in” your swimmer and wish them luck at City Meet. But keep it quiet for the new kids this is a big surprise! More information to follow from the coaches next week

Topic | City Meet LUAU

This is one of the highlights of the LMYA Social Season! We are looking for a family to host the City Meet Luau on the evening of Wed. July 9th from 5:00-8:00pm. (It would be super great if it’s a family with a pool.) This is a pot-luck dinner and LMYA provides the soft drinks and utensils. You provide the venue. Please email Heidi Felt HFelt@Moraga.k12.ca.us if you are interested or know someone who might be willing to take this on!
