City Meet Success
If you experienced the highly successful Lafayette City Meet, then take a minute to say thanks to Jim Alva. Jim is the 2008 Meet Director and he did a great job. We think he really took the job this year so he can hand out the trophies. When you see Jim on Deck, tell him thanks.
City Meet Luau Party a Hit Thanks to Heidi
Luau Party was great fun thanks to Heidi Felt. She spent most of a very hot afternoon - remember the 105 degree heat - decorating and preparing the the Luau. Thanks to Heidi and her daughter Riley for a great event.

Great Achievements by LMYA Swimmer Nick Ferrif
You might know this guy. You might have seen him at City Meet winner's circle. You certainly have seen him in the finals at County. In case you just landed in Swim Country Lafayette, here is Nick Ferrif. Nick is a long-time LMYA Dolphin and swim icon with his brother and LMYA coach Mike Ferrif. Nick set the LMYA and 2006 and 2007 County Records in breast stroke and back stroke. Nick is now coaching after his return from Olympic Trials in early July 2008. Catch him at the pool and congratulate him. Nick proved he is a strong swimmer at the Trials reaching 12th position, from his pre-meet ranking of 54th. Brilliant!
Shh...that is a picture of Nick in the header of the web site you are currently viewing.
Nick Ferrif 2008 Olympic Hopeful
Three Generations of Dons. Check out this fun article about Alissa Skuce, Acalanes Class of 2005 and our great coach. Her family's support of Lafayette started with her grandfather (Acalanes 1953).
Thank you to everyone that jumped in and worked an extra shift at the Black Diamond Invitational Meet this weekend. Thanks to great leadership from Buck and Miller.
SPECIAL THANK YOU TO PETER BUCK for designing and implementing our new team website. Peter - YOU ROCK!
